The Port of Durres continues to remain one of the main border points that is facing an increasingly high influx of passengers year after year, who prefer to travel by ferry to the Italian coast and vice versa.
During this period, the port is facing the largest influx, which is at the entrance to our country, related to the tourist season and also the arrival of immigrants not only from Albania, but also from Kosovo who work in Italy and other European countries.
The Director of the Durrës Port Authority shows the measures taken and the doubling of lines to cope with the influx.
Meanwhile, during the period January-June 2025, a total of 241,490 passengers and 104,212 vehicles were processed at the port. Compared to the same period a year earlier, passenger traffic has increased by 6%. (A2 Televizion)
