With the opening of the Murriz Tunnel, the journey from Tirana to Dibër will be shortened to just 2 hours. With less than 2 months left before the parliamentary elections, the government inaugurated the opening of this important infrastructure work.
This time not with ribbon cutting, but with songs and dances. To show that everything is under control, the Prime Minister, together with his ministers, the political leader of the region and local officials, described the tunnel by bus. Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku, also Minister of Infrastructure, explained all the details.
"3.8 kilometers long, completely completed. We did the tests late last night. Also, the fire brigade units are here. We also have the parallel tunnel, which is the emergency tunnel, with 11 entrances and exits. There is no traffic disruption expected in the future. It is a work of art as it is all armored with iron, like an iron ring, due to the geology," said Minister Balluku.
The people of Dibra demonstrated their joy with kisses and hugs for the Prime Minister, while in return they received the promise that in April, at the height of the electoral campaign, the other Maqellarë-Peshkopi segment would be completed. (A2 Televizion)
