Opened more than a century ago, Drizar's school in Mallakastër is abandoned today.
The building that once hosted hundreds of students, today, on the best days, counts up to 6 students of different classes. Abandonment has left its mark everywhere in the village and in the houses that once housed multi-member families.
This village that used to keep several hundred residents busy with work and income today counts only a few dozen of them.
Agriculture no longer brings in enough income for the few remaining residents to survive. Restoring the old life in this village seems mission impossible as long as the people do not have and do not have the opportunity to provide even basic services and income to live. (A2 Televizion)
