Yuri Kim will be the new Senior Advisor for Efficiency and Accountability in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs of the US Department of State.
The State Department has confirmed the new assignment of the former US ambassador to Tirana, a day after reports circulated in Albania that she had been dismissed from her post or placed under investigation.
Former Ambassador Kim's profile on the DASH website was deleted for a day, but has now been restored, updated with her details and information about the new position she will hold.
The Senior Advisor for Efficiency and Responsibility is a new task for Kim, as is the position itself, having been recently created, apparently inspired by the Department of Efficiency, which is headed by Tesla CEO Elon Musk.
