Albania is preparing to present its Negotiating Position for the negotiations regarding the chapters that make up Chapter Group 5: “ Resources, Agriculture and Cohesion ”. The Minister of Agriculture, Anila Denaj, shared today on social media an informative video for each chapter of this group.
Denaj announced that, " from the opening of Group Chapter 5 of negotiations with the European Union and throughout this integration process, Albania benefits from support from the modernization of agriculture, support for farmers, to the improvement of production standards and food control, to continue strengthening cohesion policies ."
"This step is proof that the path towards the EU is not only about political will, but also a guarantee for sustainable economic and social development for Albanian citizens, which in this case refers to food safety and has a direct impact on consumer health," said Denaj.
The importance of Chapter 5 is essential for the Albanian economy, as it includes key areas for sustainable economic and social development, support for farmers and fishermen, and food security.

Negotiations in this group of chapters will promote reforms to modernize agriculture, improve food production standards, and strengthen cohesion policies.
Albania aims to open all negotiation chapters by 2025 and complete accession negotiations by the end of 2027, with the aim of joining the EU by 2030. (A2 Televizion)
