"We have come with 120 Albanian companies from Albania to bring to Athens, the Albania of work and to show our sisters and brothers in Greece, who came yesterday to seek honest work and to raise their family economy, that Albania has work for them." This is how Prime Minister Edi Rama began his speech at the meeting with emigrants in Athens, after visiting the stands of the Albanian fair in the Greek capital.
In his speech, the head of government emphasized that the 120 companies that have traveled to Athens today offer jobs and better salaries than the salaries earned in the same jobs in Greece.
"This first fair in Athens will be followed by a second fair in secret. We will come again and we will be persistent because the 120 companies that have come here today offer jobs and better salaries than the salaries earned in the same jobs here in Greece. Today, all those who have followed and follow Albania from the canals of the swamp, where the noise of frogs continues, can see that in Albania 200 thousand old lekë, can see that in the tourism sector and before I came here I was talking to someone who works here as a cleaner in a hotel where for 21 rooms he had in care he received 580 euros, in Albania he receives 950 euros."
Speaking about the construction of towers, hotels and resorts, Rama also emphasized that works are being built in Albania that are not seen in Greece, while he spoke about the competitive market in our country.
"Works are being built in Albania that you don't see in Greece, I'm talking about towers, hotels, resorts on the coast designed by the best architects in the world and architects who build outside Albania and need an overqualified workforce. In Albania, you have a labor market and sectors that are competitive with Greece. There is no minimum wage below 1,500 euros in the technology sector, there is no wage below 1,200 euros for drivers and drivers of the heaviest vehicles, the wage goes up to 2,500 euros."
While targeting the opposition, Rama said Albania's economy is becoming even more competitive despite the disinformation from the media swamp, as he called it.
"And on the other hand, Albanians showed a lot of interest and so far several contracts have been signed directly at the fair stands. It is the only way to break through the heavy and gloomy curtain of disinformation that is conveyed by the Albanian media swamp where it seems as if Albania has only bad news while Albania works, develops and expands its economy, becomes more competitive and better for those who want to live by work. If we refer to the mirror of the social economic reality, there is no doubt that the opportunities to do business have increased, not decreased." (A2 Televizion)
