They have completed higher education for teachers, but their diploma and salary are being differentiated from other teachers of the same profile. We are talking about 6500 teachers throughout the country, who in the years 92-98 graduated from the lower cycle at district universities, the former institutes. At that time, the full years of study for teachers in districts were 3 years.

While today the Ministry of Education does not recognize it as a full teaching study but as a first bachelor's cycle, which has led to a reduction in their salary by over 5 thousand lek. The denunciation comes from teachers in the system, who are also union leaders.

On the eve of March 7, Teachers' Day, education unions are considering a strike in all schools in the country, although they do not hide that the pressure among teachers is great. There is no concrete response from the Ministry of Education to the concerns of 6,500 educators and primary school teachers.

Meanwhile, the unions say that since June 2024, when teachers' salaries were increased, negotiations with the ministry have continued without result, regarding the financial solution and differentiation of primary school teachers. (A2 Televizion)
