The Vlora district prefecture announced that this Tuesday marks a positive day for the fire situation. A2 CNN reports that since the beginning of July, this Tuesday in Vlora we have not had a single active fire in the city.
The three fires in the region that have caused concern and danger to residents have been extinguished. The fire that broke out on Monday afternoon in the village of Dukat has been brought under control. The fires in Lukovë, Shën Vasil, Sasaj, Piqeras and Borsh are also reported under control today.
The situation also seems calm in Delvina in the fire outbreaks mainly in the Kalasa area. These fires have been extinguished thanks to the work of the Vlora district fire departments, army forces, civil emergency headquarters, but also thanks to the air intervention with Cougar helicopters of the Ministry of Defense.
Neighboring countries such as Greece, Italy and Croatia have also come to help with the fires with Canadair aircraft. It is worth noting that all of the fires at the county level were deliberately set.
The areas scorched by the flames are in the hundreds of hectares. There are also reports of burned homes, stables and livestock, in addition to significant areas of land from Vlora, to Finiq and Konispol. (A2 Televizion)
