Over 3 thousand citizens annually conduct court proceedings for the recognition of the years of work they have lost during the periods they worked in cooperatives or agricultural enterprises. But now with the new draft law these trials will be discontinued while the beneficiary category will also be expanded. In the laws committee, the director of the Social Insurance Institute announced that citizens will not be able to benefit from this initiative.
"They will be recognized to citizens who reach retirement age when the law is approved, and to those who are in judicial proceedings. Those who have retired, have gone to court or have followed the judicial path will not be recognized. Otherwise, it would be calculated that 720 thousand pensioners would have to be reviewed," declared the director of the Social Insurance Institute, Astrit Hado.
But which cases will be considered for recognition of years of service?
"The draft law aims to address the effects carried over as a result of problems related to the recognition of years of work in cases where there is a complete lack of data, partial or corrected data, incorrect identities, damaged sheets, etc. The approval would enable the recognition of insurance periods, would enable the benefit of a pension equal to the social pension amount", said Deputy Minister Olta Manjani.
There are 7,500 people who worked in former agricultural cooperatives who will benefit and another 22,000 in former agricultural enterprises and state-owned enterprises. The cost of the draft law in the first year of implementation is expected to reach 40 million lek. (A2 Televizion)
