The value of the bonus that will be given to pensioners next spring will be determined within this month. The money that will be distributed to the elderly will be from what will be left over from this year.
"This Normative Act is important because through it the progress of the economy will be evaluated and the spring bonus will be determined", said the Minister of Finance, Petrit Malaj.
With all the money flowing in, the social security scheme needs more than ever for businesses to pay their employees in full. But the private sector is not doing it by not declaring real wages. Out of over 96 thousand ALL in the state, the average salary declared in the private sector in the third quarter of the year was less than 70 thousand ALL. (chart 1)
"Private businesses have responded positively to the calls issued by the General Directorate of Taxes. I believe that soon we will have some concrete results. I believe that the pressure exerted by the government by increasing salaries for the public administration and the fight against informality will give a positive result for the private sector", declared Malaj.
Low wages are one of the main reasons for leaving and this is also accepted by the government. And at a time when the latter is moving by increasing salaries for the public administration, the same is not happening with the private sector.
"The issue of labor movement to foreign countries is a phenomenon that also occurs in other countries of the Region. The government is raising wages for this very purpose. That's why salaries in the public administration have increased", the minister emphasized.
