The call for applications for the National Agricultural Support Scheme for 2025 will open on April 14 and will remain open until May 30.
The Director of the Agency for Agricultural and Rural Development, Ardita Kuçi, announced today that the National Scheme aims to promote the sustainable development of agriculture, increase domestic production and improve the competitiveness of Albanian products in the market.
The National Agricultural Support Scheme and Rural Development provides funding for cattle up to 10,000 lek per cow or heifer, 5,000 lek for calves, on farms with no less than 10 heads. For small livestock, the same funding amount is 1,200 lek/head; for beekeeping, 1,000 lek/hive; for vegetables/strawberries/table grapes in greenhouses, the funding amount is 200,000 lek/ha (no less than 1 ha).
This year, a funding measure for biological pest control has been increased, with 50% of the total value of the tax bill being reimbursed again from the National Support Scheme.
Aromatic and medicinal plants continue to be the focus of the National Scheme with 30,000 lek/ha (no less than 1 ha) as an acceptance criterion.
Organic farms 100,000 lek/year and 200,000 lek for each certified farm. GLOBAL GAP certification is supported by 50% of the total value of the tax invoice. While more than 50,000 farmers benefit from the oil scheme. (A2 Televizion)
