Citizens have until the end of this month to file their income tax returns. This process has undergone some changes this year, as previously announced by the tax administration. We have covered this issue before in A2 Business, but we are returning to it in the public interest, given that we are still a few days away from the end of the legal deadline for filing personal income tax returns.
Let's see once again graphically what changes.
The deadline for submitting the income declaration, or DIVA, will be March 31 and not April 30. Meanwhile, the obligation to declare will be on all individuals who earn over 1.2 million lek in income per year, up from over 2 million previously.
Simply put, who should declare?
All those who receive over 100 thousand lek per month gross salary must fill out the income declaration form. The declaration must also be made by all dual employees, regardless of salary level. These changes are made in the context of the formalization of the salary market and increased control over the circulation of money.
But how many have declared their income so far?
According to the data, over 73 thousand individuals complete the annual income declaration form, of which over 24 thousand are individuals and over 49 thousand are both employed.
