Two operations against the trafficking of cannabis with a high THC percentage from the US, for sale in Tirana, have been finalized.
Through a statement, the Police announced that the operations are the result of 2 proactive investigations, followed by the Police and the Tirana Prosecution Office.
It is also known that 3 citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto, after receiving packages containing about 1.6 kg of narcotics at a post office in Tirana and Shkodra, writes A2 CNN.
Police have seized 2 packages of narcotics, 3 cell phones and 1 motorcycle as part of this operation.
The Police have also identified the 2 perpetrators and are continuing to work to arrest them, writes A2 CNN.

DVP Tirana/The next 2 operations against trafficking from the USA of Cannabis with a high THC percentage, for the purpose of sale in Tirana, are being finalized within 24 hours.
The operations are the result of 2 proactive investigations, followed by the Tirana Police and Prosecution Office.
Three citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto, as soon as they received packages containing approximately 1.6 kg of narcotics at post offices in Tirana and Shkodra.
The police identify the 2 perpetrators and continue working to capture them.

As a result of an investigation with proactive methods, pursued for several months, by the Narcotics Investigation Section and the Tirana Prosecution Office, the anti-drug police operations, codenamed "Package 1" and "Package 2", were finalized in cooperation with the Special Operational Force, the Rinas Police Commissariat, the Albanian Post Transit Center Branch and the Shkodra Local Police Directorate.
1. During the operation “Package 1”, citizens AP, 24 years old, and A. Xh., 55 years old, were arrested in flagrante delicto, receiving at a post office in Tirana, a package containing approximately 522 grams of Cannabis, with a high percentage of THC, which was suspected to have been trafficked from the USA. The investigations resulted in the orderer of the package being citizen BF, 25 years old, who was declared wanted.
2. During the operation “Package 2”, citizen MH, 19 years old, was arrested in flagrante delicto, receiving at a post office in Shkodra, a package containing approximately 1.07 kilograms of Cannabis, with a high percentage of THC, suspected of being trafficked from the USA. The investigations revealed that the person who ordered the package was citizen GP, 23 years old, who was declared wanted.
Work continues to capture the wanted citizens, as well as investigations to identify and bring to criminal responsibility other citizens who may have been implicated in these cases.
The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action. (A2 Televizion)
