The Shkodra Prosecution Office has completed the investigations into the suicide of citizen Alma Arrazi, who drowned in the waters of the Buna River along with her three children.
A2 CNN reports that the Prosecution has requested 6 years in prison for citizen Erdgys Arrazi on the charge of causing the suicide of his wife Alma Arrazi, who in May of last year chose to commit suicide, also causing the death of her three children with whom she jumped into the river.
The prosecution has requested that the sentence be reduced to 4 years because Arrazi accepted the summary trial. According to the Erdgys prosecution, Arrazi committed acts that discredited the dignity of Alma Arrazi, forcing her to commit suicide and kill her three children.
Regarding the minors, the Prosecution has registered a charge of 'murder due to the special characteristics of the victims', while the possibility that there were other persons involved has been ruled out. For this reason, this charge has been dismissed by the prosecution, as according to the investigation, it has resulted that the perpetrator of the murder of the three children is their mother, who decided to end her life together with her three little ones.
Due to the death of the mother, this second charge has been dismissed by the Shkodra prosecution. After the completion of the investigations by the prosecution and the request for 6 years in prison for Erdgys Arrazin reduced to 4 years due to the summary trial, the lawyers are expected to present their defense and after the defense, the first instance court in Shkodra is expected to give its decision regarding this serious event.
On May 5th of last year, Alma Arrazi took her three children with her and jumped into the waters of the Buna River in Shkodra, ending her life. Three days after they drowned, a fisherman accidentally found the body of one of the children. Then it took the arrival of the RENEA forces from Tirana who, after several days of searching, managed to find the other bodies in different places, the mother and two other children drowned in the water.
After this serious incident, the police arrested the victim's husband and father of three children. Arraz had previously denied that he was the cause of his wife's suicide and consequently of her three minor children, saying that the suspicions and accusations that he had psychologically or physically abused and abused Alma Arraz were untrue, but later the suspect accepted the summary judgment.
Despite these allegations, at the end of the investigation, the prosecution found the 32-year-old guilty of the criminal offense of causing suicide, requesting 6 years in prison in the Shkodra court, but reducing it by two years due to the summary trial.
It is now expected what the decision of the first instance court in Shkodra will be after the completion of the investigations by the prosecution and the defense that will be presented by the lawyers. (A2 Televizion)
