A car accident occurred at the entrance to the city of Pogradec near the "Gjergj Pekmezi" high school. A vehicle with Greek license plates hit 72-year-old Fiqiri Maxhari who was riding a bicycle, seriously injuring him.
Fiqiri Maxhari, who was transporting milk, was urgently taken to the Pogradec hospital where he is receiving medical attention.
Sources from the Pogradec hospital inform A2 CNN that Fiqiri Maxhari has suffered multiple head injuries and other fractures in his body. He is receiving medical attention and will be assessed by doctors whether to leave for Tirana or not, as the elderly man's condition is serious.
It is learned that the injured person was moving on the side of the road when he was hit by the vehicle with Greek license plates.
Police arrived at the scene and are conducting investigations to clarify the circumstances of the accident.
