The Border Police have arrested a Georgian citizen who was attempting to leave our country with forged documents, reports A2 CNN.
"The Rinas Border Police Services, based on information received through cooperation and exchange of data with British partners, that a Georgian citizen was suspected of using a forged passport to travel to the United Kingdom, immediately organized the work. As a result, the identification and arrest in flagrante delicto of citizen GZ, 41 years old, born and residing in Georgia, was made. This citizen initially presented at the Police counter, in order to exit the Republic of Albania in a regular manner, a Georgian passport and a boarding pass for a flight to Budapest. The Police Services kept him under monitoring and found him at the other exit gate, ready to board the "Tirana-Manchester" route. Following the actions, citizen GZ was escorted to the second line, where during the physical and baggage check, a Greek passport with the data of a Greek citizen and a boarding pass with the same data. From preliminary laboratory examinations, it is suspected that the passport is forged," the police said.
At the conclusion of the actions, the Criminal Investigation specialists of the Rinas Police Commissariat arrested citizen GZ, 41 years old, in flagrante delicto, for the criminal offense of "Forgery of passports, identity cards and visas" and passed the procedural materials to the Prosecutor's Office.
