A man was arrested by police for hitting five pedestrians with his car while maneuvering on the road. After the chaos, the 39-year-old abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene, but was later caught by police.
The incident occurred on Friday, on "Halit Haxhija" street. Citizen PB, driving an "Audi" vehicle, performed dangerous maneuvers and as a result the vehicle left the road, hitting 5 citizens (pedestrians), who received medical assistance at the hospital and are out of danger, the police said.
The Crime Investigation Specialists of Police Station No. 5, in cooperation with the traffic services, caught and arrested citizen PB, 39 years old, resident of Kamëz. His car was impounded and his license was revoked.
The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action.
