Operation "Free Beach" has moved to Cape Rodonit this Saturday. Police announce that other illegally occupied areas on Cape Rodonit beach have been freed.
85 sets of umbrellas and sun loungers were removed and seized, while one person was criminally prosecuted.
"During the checks, in public spaces on the beach of Cape Rodoni, a total of 85 sets of umbrellas and sun loungers, illegally placed by a citizen, were removed and seized.
Following the actions, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where proceedings were initiated against citizen NS, 59 years old, resident of Tirana ," the Police announced.
The police also announce that checks will continue along the entire coastline, with the aim of freeing up public spaces for vacationers and verifying the activities carried out by subjects during the summer season.
The State Police appeals to all citizens and entities to respect public spaces and not to interfere illegally in them, as any violation will result in administrative and criminal measures, according to the law.
