New chiefs of police stations are appointed, no woman in a leadership position, even though they received over 70 points

The 48 chiefs of police stations in the country are appointed, after a competition held for several weeks, with the aim of giving new impulses for order and security, writes A2 CNN. In the list made public by the State Police, what stands out is that no woman has been appointed to a leadership position by chief police officer Ilir Proda, despite the fact that 4 of them were able to pass the main stage with over 70 points that an applicant had to win to be appointed to one of the police stations in the country.

The changes affected all the chiefs of the police stations, the only one who stayed within the radius of Tirana is Besmir Qibini, from the head of the Traffic Police, he was appointed the chief of the police station in Kamëz. His place is taken by Roven Zeka. The post of head of police station No. 1 was entrusted to Rebert Losha, who previously worked at police station No. 3 and recently in Elbasan. Ritvan Pali is appointed to No. 2, while Besmir Dervishi is appointed to No. 3 police station.

The territory of police station 4 has been entrusted to Ervis Gjoshi, while the areas of Kombinat, Yzberishti and Astir that are covered by police station no. 6, will be headed by Erdit Rreçeku, who recently worked in Fier.

Initially, 291 candidates applied for the competition for heads of police stations, but 250 of them entered the competition, after some were disqualified and another withdrew from the competition. In the end, only 102 of them got more than 70 points which was the limit for qualification. (A2 Televizion)
