A quantity of explosive material was found last evening near the area known as "Veliera" in Durrës. Immediately after the discovery, the engineering forces intervened and carried out a controlled explosion to neutralize the danger, writes A2 CNN.
Police have not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident, and no details have been released on the perpetrators or possible motives.
The apartment of former Durrës mayor Vangjush Dako is also located near the site where the explosives were found, A2 CNN reports. However, there is no evidence to directly link this incident to any specific person, and there is currently no indication of a possible target. (A2 Televizion)
