Enea Tahiri and Besnik Shabani had gone to Shkodra to fill their car with cannabis, which they were then going to take to Korça to traffic it to Greece. But months of investigation by Tirana's anti-drugs unit led to their arrest and the seizure of the narcotics.
Tahiri and Sahabi were stopped on the "Mamurras-Kashar" road axis, in Thumanë, while they were traveling in a vehicle that was also transporting drugs.
Initially, they did not obey the blue police's order to stop. During the search, the police found 60 kg of cannabis in the vehicle. The amount of drugs was divided into 59 packages placed in 3 bags.
According to sources, the narcotic substance was cultivated in the Shkodra area, but the two arrested, aged 37 and 48 respectively, did not provide statements to the investigative group in order to identify the cultivators.
Tahiri and Shabani played the role of transporters, while investigations continue to uncover the other people involved in this activity. (A2 Televizion)
