The Special Court has decided to discontinue the investigation launched against Leonard Hides, the mayor of Libohova.
A2 CNN reports that the mayor of Libohova, Leonard Hida, appeared before SPAK on January 27, 2025.
It was suspected that during his time as head of the Crime Section at the Gjirokastra Police Station, he allowed the cultivation of narcotic plants for profit.
Sources close to SPAK announced at the time that the case against Hida had been dismissed. SPAK had found no evidence that incriminated him and therefore approached the court with a request to dismiss the criminal proceedings, a request which the GJKKO approved today.
We recall that Hida took the mandate of mayor of Libohova in the May 14 elections under the banner of the Socialist Party. (A2 Televizion)
