The Border Police has cracked down on a case of attempted trafficking of firearms from Kosovo to Albania.
Through a statement, the Police announced that during a search of a vehicle, a pistol-type firearm and a quantity of combat ammunition were found, writes A2 CNN.
The arrested person is a 28-year-old from Prizren, while the procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Kukës, for further action.

The Border Police Services in Morina, following the controls to combat cross-border crimes, based on risk analysis and selective controls, at the entrance to the Republic of Albania, have passed to the second line, for a more detailed control, the "Benz" type vehicle, driven by citizen AS.
During the search of the vehicle, the Police found 1 firearm, a pistol, and a quantity of combat ammunition, which were seized as material evidence, along with the vehicle.
At the conclusion of the procedural actions, the Crime Investigation specialists of the Kukës DVKM arrested in flagrante delicto the citizen AS, 28 years old, resident of Prizren, for the criminal offense of "Trafficking in weapons and ammunition".
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Kukës, for further action. (A2 Televizion)
