An amount of 139 thousand euros, ready to be transferred illegally to Albania, was seized by the police in the port of Brindisi.
Gdf agents, during the boarding of passengers and vehicles, have identified a bus heading towards Albania, inside which they have found a large amount of cash, divided into packages of 10,000 euros each.
The money was wrapped in packages surrounded by cellophane and was found hidden in a special space created near the engine of the vehicle.
The discovery was made possible thanks to the police dog "Gringo". The 6-year-old German dog has been active in Brindisi since 2019 and is trained to sniff out hidden money in the most ingenious ways.
From the first investigations, the bus driver could not justify the origin of the money and therefore it was seized. (A2 Televizion)
