A 39-year-old man from Shkodra has been arrested by Greek police after being declared an international wanted man by Albanian justice.
Eduard Vushaj was arrested by Greek authorities with the aim of extradition to Albania, after being sentenced in our country to 16 years in prison for armed robbery, committed in collaboration.
"As a result of the information provided by Fast Albania and DVP Shkodra, as well as the exchange of this information through Interpol Tirana with counterparts in Athens, the "Red Card" operation was finalized. As part of the operation, the Greek Police located, captured and provisionally arrested for extradition purposes the citizen Eduard Vushaj, 39 years old. In 2016, the Shkodra Court sentenced him to 16 years in prison for the criminal offense of "Armed Robbery", because in 2013, in the village of Grabom, this citizen, in collaboration with another citizen, stopped the vehicle in which 2 citizens were traveling and, threatening them with a weapon, took their money and the vehicle and injured both of them with a cutting tool (knife)", the police explain.
Meanwhile, cooperation continues between Interpol Tirana and Interpol Athens for the extradition of the 39-year-old to Albania. (A2 Televizion)
