Prosecutor General Olsian Çela has approved the instruction on "Administrative and procedural measures before and after the elections".
The news was announced by the General Prosecutor's Office itself through an announcement, stating that within the framework of these measures, special temporary sections will be established in the prosecutor's offices of general jurisdiction to investigate criminal offenses that affect free elections and the democratic electoral system.
Also, according to the announcement of the General Prosecutor's Office, 'cooperation with the State Police aims at the rapid and thorough investigation of criminal offenses, rapid response to information and denunciations related to electoral crimes, by conducting preliminary and procedural verifications and referring cases to the prosecutor's office'.

The Prosecutor General, Olsian Çela, today approved the general instruction for administrative and procedural measures in the period before and after the elections.
As part of these measures, special temporary sections will be established in the prosecutor's offices of general jurisdiction to investigate criminal offenses that affect free elections and the democratic electoral system within their competence.
These sections will be established within 10 days of the adoption of this instruction and will function until 31.5.2025. The sections will be headed by the heads of prosecution offices in the 13 prosecution offices of general jurisdiction and will be composed of prosecutors and judicial police officers with extensive work experience and who have had training in this field.
According to the agreement signed between the Prosecutor General and the Director General of the State Police, the State Police will make available to the special temporary sections judicial police officers, expertise, logistical equipment, and operational groups to support investigations.
Cooperation with the State Police aims at the rapid and thorough investigation of criminal offenses, rapid response to information and denunciations related to electoral crimes, by conducting preliminary and procedural verifications and referring cases to the prosecutor's office.
In order to ensure effective institutional cooperation for the electoral process, with the aim of ensuring effectiveness and efficiency in investigations, activities will also be coordinated with the Special Prosecution Office and the CEC at all levels, with the aim of promptly transmitting criminal reports, criminal proceedings and any other data.
Prosecutors are required to conduct proactive investigations, following a rigorous criminal policy regarding requests for the imposition of security measures and sentencing measures. A standard reporting format will be made available on the website of the General Prosecutor's Office to help citizens report violations of the law that have violated their interests as voters.
