The bankruptcy of 7 companies with the aim of avoiding tax obligations has led to 4 people being imprisoned in Elbasan. The police announce that as part of the "Bankrupt" operation, a well-organized scheme was busted to deliberately bankrupt 7 manufacturing entities.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Investigation Section of the Elbasan DVP has already executed the security measures issued by the court on June 2, arresting the following citizens: AK, 40 years old, subject administrator, arrested by the Police in Tirana; GL, 60 years old , Italian citizen, administrator, detained at the Rinas Border Crossing in an attempt to leave Albania; ZK, 27 years old , subject administrator; ES, 31 years old , economist, against whom the security measure "House arrest" was imposed.
All four of these citizens are accused of the following criminal offenses: "Non-payment of taxes and duties", "Instigated bankruptcy", "Fraud", "Abuse of powers" and "Hiding income".
Also, as part of the investigations, a preventive seizure was imposed on the 7 involved tailors and their 12 bank accounts.
According to the Police, preliminary investigations indicate that the suspects collaborated to simulate the bankruptcy of businesses, with the aim of avoiding the payment of tax obligations to the state.
Meanwhile, investigations continue to identify and prosecute other persons involved in this criminal scheme. (A2 Televizion)
