After several weeks of investigations using proactive methods, the Elbasan Police have finalized Operation "Shame", where two apartments in Elbasan adapted for the practice of prostitution were discovered.
Two Chinese citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto for exploitation of prostitution and forgery of seals, as well as three Chinese and Brazilian citizens for the criminal offense of “Prostitution.” Three Albanian citizens who had participated in this activity by giving monetary rewards were also arrested.
“As a result of this operation, 2 rented apartments were discovered in Elbasan, which had been adapted for the practice of prostitution and were arrested in flagrante delicto: Chinese citizens K. Ch., 44 years old, and RC, 38 years old, for the criminal offenses "Exploitation of prostitution" and "Forgery of seals, stamps or forms", committed in collaboration; Chinese and Brazilian citizens LN, 46 years old, BG, 52 years old, and ES, 23 years old, for the criminal offense "Prostitution". These citizens had adapted rented premises for the exploitation of prostitution, and by promoting themselves on online sites they offered sexual favors in return for payments. Also, Albanian citizens AP, 38 years old and LT, 38 years old and RF, 28 years old, were arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offense "Prostitution"” , the police announced.
Criminal proceedings have also been initiated against the owners of the two apartments and the cleaner who managed the prostitution premises.
"The materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office where criminal proceedings were initiated against the 2 apartment owners, citizens AV, 46 years old, BH, 36 years old, and the sanitation worker citizen OT, 19 years old, for the criminal offense of "Maintaining premises for prostitution"," the police announcement continues.
During the operation, sums of money in various currencies, personal documents, identity cards, suspected fake stamps and 10 mobile phones were seized.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.
