The Tirana Prosecution Office has charged Ervin Muça, the former IT director at the State Police, with abuse of office on the grounds that he accessed computer systems, a case related to copying data in the TIMS system.
The case against him has been separated by the Prosecution because the investigation deadlines have expired, while the prosecution is investigating other persons.
Ervin Muhamed has been investigated under house arrest.
Ervin Muça is accused of unauthorized intervention in the TIMS system, extracting sensitive data. He claimed that his actions were to create a backup copy of the system. During the investigation, Muça is suspected of using the codes of another employee and being accompanied by an unauthorized person. The prosecution is also investigating pressure on his subordinates to carry out the action. (A2 Televizion)
