The Special Court of Appeals confirmed the guilty plea for "abuse of office" of the former mayor of Libohova, Luiza Mandi, but avoided the risk of going to prison.
The appeal left the 8-month prison sentence unchanged, but unlike the First Instance, it decided to suspend the execution of the prison sentence, leaving him on probation for 1 year and 4 months in prison.
The case was filed after a citizen filed a complaint alleging that his property was damaged during a public road widening project. According to him, the citizen was promised that his property would be repaired, which never happened. (A2 Televizion)
