Tirana Police have arrested a 31-year-old man, who is accused of hitting a Traffic Police officer on duty, writes A2 CNN.
According to the police, at the Unaza e Re roundabout, on “Sotir Caci” street, the Tirana Traffic Police Commissariat employee, on duty, signaled a vehicle to stop, after noticing uncontrolled movement on the road. The driver of the vehicle did not obey the police officer’s order to stop, but continued driving. Continuing to drive, the driver of the vehicle pulled the police officer over for several meters, endangering his life. The police officer followed and stopped the vehicle, and asked the driver to present the documentation. The driver of the vehicle objected and then hit the police officer, causing physical injuries.
"The Police Services have accompanied the driver of the vehicle to the Police Station, and at the conclusion of the procedural actions in the case, the Crime Investigation specialists of Police Station No. 4 arrested him in flagrante delicto, specifically citizen FK, 31 years old, resident of Tirana.
"The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action," the police announced.
