The Special Prosecution has requested a life sentence for Fran Marash, who is accused of the event known as the "Vajgurore Bridge Massacre", where 5 police officers were killed, reports A2 CNN.
The Supreme Court had ordered a retrial of the case 28 years after the massacre. Following his arrest and extradition, Fran Marashi claimed that his fundamental rights and freedoms for a fair trial were not respected during the trial in absentia.
During his arguments, he claimed that he was unaware of the trial that took place in 1999-2000, in his charge. (A2 Televizion)
