A mega anti-drug operation took place 2 days ago in Albania and Italy, where security measures were given to 52 people.
A security measure as part of Operation 'Bridge' was also issued against lawyer Armand Tragaj in Durrës, on charges of unlawful influence in 4 cases. Tragaj was a former secretary of the Municipal Council in Durrës.
Meanwhile, a marathon session was held today at the Special Court to verify the security measures for 14 of the arrestees of this operation.
The Special Court announced the decision a few minutes ago, where judge Rudina Palloj left in force the 'prison arrest' measures for the 11 suspects, while for lawyer Armand Tragaj she decided on 'compulsory appearance'. A milder security measure, namely 'compulsory appearance', has also been set for two other people, Ervis Deti and Bexhet Mema.
Earlier today, lawyer Tragaj spoke before the Special Court, where he requested the abolition of the 'prison arrest' measure, writes A2 CNN.
His request was made with the argument that continuing the security measure would aggravate his family situation.
"I am psychologically burdened and the continuation of this measure will aggravate my family situation, where I have two sick parents, a paralyzed stepmother, a brother in a psychiatric hospital and a wife with a small child. And for this fact I ask to be close to the family," said lawyer Tragaj before the GJKKO, where the session for the reconfirmation of security measures for members of this criminal group was held.
