The opposition continued on Monday with civil disobedience, blocking the main intersections in Tirana, while there were also clashes between protesters and the police.

A2 CNN learns that the police arrested 7 protesters after the protest. During the 3 hours that the A2 protest lasted, CNN witnessed several cases of citizens being escorted after clashes with the police. In Wilson Square, Zogu i Zi and the City Hall of Tirana, the protesters were dispersed earlier after continuous interventions by the police.

The protest started at 17:00 and the 5 main points of the capital were blocked. This time the protest was printed for the first time by Sali Berisha, after his release from house arrest. He marched towards the protest squares starting from Rruga e Elbasani where his first stop was, to continue to the municipality of Tirana, to Zogu i Black, Palati me Shigjeta and to conclude at Wilson square. In all the stops, the democratic leader had a statement for the media, where the focus was on the technical government and free elections.

Meanwhile, at Palace with Arrows and Rruga e Elbasani, traffic was blocked until 8:00 p.m. The collision of the vice president of the Democratic Party, Agron Gjekmarkaj, with the Police at Palati me Shigjeta, who as a result lost consciousness and was sent to the Trauma Hospital for medical care, was noted, writes A2 CNN.

Berisha and Noka accused the Police of using violence against the Deputy Speaker of the Assembly, calling this an unprecedented act of violence that will hold the perpetrators and enforcers accountable. While the Police of Tirana rejected the accusations of Sali Berisha and Flamur Noka that the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Agron Gjekmarkaj was hit by some officers during Monday's protest.

Agron Gjekmarkaj himself from the hospital reacted by accusing the police of using violence. "They put pressure on my chest and I was out of breath," said Gjekmarkaj himself, as the democratic leader visited him in the hospital.

This is the fifth civil disobedience of the opposition, which lasted 3 hours and took place in unfavorable weather conditions, as the rains continued with intensity throughout the day. (A2 Televizion)
