The Dutch authorities announce that they have arrested one of the most wanted persons of their Italian counterparts. According to them, this person was sentenced to 30 years in prison for drug trafficking, and even according to them, this trafficking was carried out by the arrested person two decades ago.
Referring to the few data that the Dutch media has published, it is known that the most wanted is a citizen and trafficker from Albania who was hiding in the Netherlands, but it is not known how many years the convict in absentia was in their land.
Referring to the data of these media, it is learned that the "FAST" unit of the Dutch police arrested a 45-year-old Albanian sentenced in Italy to 30 years in prison for drug trafficking. The events for which the Albanian is accused occurred between 2001-2003 and are related to the trafficking of heroin from Albania to Italy.
In one of the episodes, in 2003, 14 kg of heroin were seized in Empoli, Italy. The 45-year-old is considered the organizer of this transport case. For years, he had been hiding in the Netherlands under a false identity and was discovered after investigations by FAST Holland.
He will appear at the Amsterdam Court which will decide on his extradition to Italy. The Dutch authorities have kept the name of the arrested Albanian hidden, while soon he will be extradited to Italy, where he will face the local justice. (A2 Televizion)
