Dritan Rexhepi, accused of ordering the kidnapping, murder and disappearance of Jan Prenga, testified in court for the first time in 2020.
Rexhepi was extradited to our country from Ecuador two months ago. He answered questions from the two prosecutors in the case. He began his testimony by claiming that the prosecutors "have boarded the wrong train and want to go where they want."
Rexhepi has denied anything that links him to the incident. SPAK prosecutors asked him if he knew any of the Prenga brothers, one of whom was kidnapped.
Dritan Rexhepi denied knowing any of them and added that when the incident occurred, he was in prison in Ecuador for drug trafficking.
When asked if the incident was related to the fact that one of Jan Prenga's brothers was an accomplice to his drug trafficking in England, Dritan Rexhepi denied this as well. He also stated that he learned this news from his relatives and not from cell phones that he may have illegally kept in prison premises.
The prosecution presented new evidence, communications between Altin Hajri and Dritan Rexhepi, made on SkyECC. These intercepts belong to the 2024 proceedings. According to the prosecution, these communications belong to 2020.
The next session will take place on May 7, at 9:00 AM.
