The murder of Arben Lleshi in the high security prison in Peqin by the life convict Sokol Mjacaj has shocked public opinion. Many questions have been raised about how the weapon was introduced into this institution. In the Ditari studio on A2 CNN, former security chief Faik Basha said that a security element was broken, excluding cooperation with the police.

"One of the security elements is the lack of staff, we will see the element that is broken. That there are several security elements, one of these is broken and the gun was inserted. Vigilance from the outside. There is the possibility of drone assistance. Our prisons must have equipment that makes it possible to capture drones, and the second way is to cooperate with family members and the police, and at this level, the police force would be surprising, and I don't believe that it endangers his life first."

But A2 CNN journalist Julian Kasapi does not rule out the possibility of cooperation with the police inside the prison.

"Knives or illegal items were inserted into New Year's cards, and over the years the way these items are inserted has evolved, why not through a drone. I am inclined to think that there can be cooperation inside the prison, they become parties because of the salary, that every day the guards are falling prey to corruption to introduce drugs or mobile phones into the Albanian prisons. I do not rule out the cooperation part because of their insufficient salary. Attempts also come through ventilation. If you have a cell phone inside the prison, coordination is very simple."

In addition to the salary, the former security chief also lists the lack of police officers in prisons who work exhaustingly.

"It is really difficult to find a weapon in a maximum security prison. There have been no precedents in Albania, except for Drenova, security measures have been strengthened. Recently, there has been a reduction in the police force, a lack of supply of police officers. There is a shortage of staff in all prisons in Albania. This has led some services to go out of the scheme from 8 hours back to 12 hours and this is a concern that in a high security prison even 8 hours is too much 12 hours is exhausting. Salary is one of the main elements in increasing the level of security. The increase 8 months ago was ridiculous. For 3 days, Peqin prison was in the process of strikes and revolts.

For the journalist Kasapi, there was an organized plan to kill Arben Lleshi. According to him, this is related to a revenge incident due to the murder of the Albanian Agim Hoxha in England by the victim and Afrim Lleshi.

"Arben Lleshi, together with Afrim Lleshi, who are not related, are suspected of having killed one of their compatriots, Agim Hoxha, who was involved in narcotics trafficking. Afrim Lleshi was sentenced to 32 years in prison. In the court in England, he said that I killed him because he threatened me for a drug deal that went wrong, and what aggravates the incident is the burning of the car when Hoxha was in the vehicle. All the doubts now lead to Lleshaj, all the information shows the big question marks of how these weapons are introduced into the prison system".
