Difficult situation due to fire in Vlora, wind is rapidly spreading the flames

A large-scale fire engulfed the village of Hoshtima this afternoon, near the village cemetery.

According to preliminary information, two fire engines were immediately dispatched to the scene to deal with the flames, which are spreading rapidly due to the difficult terrain and the wind that favors their spread, writes A2 CNN.

Due to the flames that started in the village cemetery, olive groves and agricultural lands in the area are currently at risk. Further away, there are also several homes, which could be at risk if the fire advances further.

Firefighters are working intensively to isolate and extinguish the flames, while all relevant structures are already on the ground to enable the situation to be brought under control. (A2 Televizion)
