The Special Prosecutor's Office announces that it has completed the investigations against Safet Gjic and Alma Kaç for the video scandal in the Kuka Municipality office and has sent the case to GJKKO.
SPAK has filed charges of "Passive corruption of high state officials or local elected officials", for the former mayor Gjici. While Alma Kaçi is accused of the criminal offense "Active corruption of high state officials or local elected officials".
The Special Prosecutor's Office informs that, based on the investigations, Alma Kaçi is the person who offered/gave irregular benefits to Safet Gjici, acting Mayor of Kuka, and that the latter, after having benefited from her irregular benefits, in the form of sexual favor, has promised/agreed to help her with her dog protection project and to present it further at the meeting of the Municipal Council of the Municipality of Kuka.
Notice of the Prosecution:
The Special Prosecutor's Office in cooperation with the National Bureau of Investigation has conducted investigations in the framework of criminal proceedings no. 145, year 2023, for the criminal offenses of "Passive corruption of high state officials or local elected officials", provided by Article 260 of the Criminal Code and "Active corruption of high state officials or local elected officials", provided by Article 245 of the Criminal Code.
At the end of the preliminary investigations, the Special Prosecutor's Office has decided to apply to the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime, to send the case to trial, in charge of the defendants:
Safet Gjici, in office at the time of the commission of the criminal offense Mayor of Kuka Municipality, accused of the criminal offense of "Passive corruption of high state officials or local elected officials", provided for by Article 260 of the Criminal Code, investigated by the security measure "arrest in prison", provided by article 238 of the Penal Code (executed on 24.06.2023).
Alma Kaçi, accused of the criminal offense of "Active corruption of high state officials or local elected officials", provided by article 245 of the Criminal Code, investigated with the security measure of "house arrest", provided for by article 237 of K.Pr.Penale (executed on 24.06.2023).
At the end of the preliminary investigations of this criminal proceeding, evidence and data were obtained from the analysis of which it was found that the defendant Alma Kaçi is the person who offered/gave irregular benefits to the defendant Safet Gjici, acting Mayor Kukës and that the latter, after having benefited from her irregular benefit, in the form of a sexual favor, has promised/agreed to help her with her dog protection project and to present it further at the meeting of the Municipal Council of the Kukës Municipality.
