Former MP Tom Doshi, also the leader of the PSD, responded positively on Monday to a subpoena from the Special Prosecution Office, SPAK.

Smiling and unaccompanied by a lawyer, Doshi arrived at the glass building to give statements in the capacity of a person who has knowledge of the circumstances of an investigation. For almost 1 hour and 30 minutes, former MP Doshi gave explanations to BKH agents, who according to him asked him about a meeting in Rrogozhina during the elections won in this municipality by Edison Memolla.

"It's normal for the prosecution to call us. I had a meeting in Rrogozhina and the person I met was under surveillance. That's all, did you know, they asked," Tom Doshi told the media.

Asked about the political debate over the merger of SPAK and the stance of its deputies, Doshi expressed support for the Special Prosecution Office.

"Never. I have supported the justice reform and our MPs will support SPAK today, in the next mandate, and the one after that."

In 2018, former MP Tom Doshi was the second senior official in the country, after former Chief Prosecutor Adriatik Llalla, to be declared "non grata" by the United States of America. (A2 Televizion)
