As part of the "Transnational" operation, which on Friday led to the crackdown on a network that trafficked adults from Ukraine, depriving them of travel documents and forcing them to carry out illegal activities, the police of the coastal city have put two days after a 24-year-old man in handcuffs.
"Another phase of the "TRANSNATIONAL" police operation has been successfully completed, which aims to attack a network that traffics in human beings and uses them for illegal activities. The operation continued with the capture and detention of another citizen involved in this criminal activity. As a result of this operation, it became possible to capture and detain on initiative the foreign citizen OK, 24 years old, resident of the city of Sumskaya, Ukraine," the police informs.
According to the blue uniforms, it turns out that the young Ukrainian, in cooperation with 4 other citizens, arrested earlier, has trafficked citizens from different countries of Europe, mainly citizens from Ukraine, towards Albania, with the aim of using them for illegal work.
We remind you that two days ago, 4 foreign nationals were arrested in the act for the criminal offense " Trafficking of adults ". The authorities also escorted 19 Ukrainian citizens, aged 18-26, who were victims of this criminal activity.
During the operation, laptops, travel passports, ID cards and mobile devices were seized, which will be subjected to further laboratory examinations at the Scientific Police Institute in Tirana.
