The capital's police have arrested a 56-year-old man who was transporting 8 kg and 45 grams of cannabis in his vehicle. According to the police report, 56-year-old Taulant Çyço was arrested on "Pandi Dardha" street in Lapraka. It is suspected that he was in possession of the drug for the purpose of selling it.
"The Crime Investigation Specialists of the Police Commissariat No. 3, following the operations to crack down on criminal activities in the field of narcotics, based on information obtained through intelligence, have organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Transporter". As a result of this operation, citizen T. Ç., 56 years old, resident of Tirana, was arrested in flagrante delicto. The Police Services, after receiving information that a citizen was transporting a quantity of cannabis which he possessed with the intention of selling, have been pursuing him and on "Pandi Dardha" street, Lapraka, have stopped the "Audi A3" vehicle with the 56-year-old driver", the Police announce.
During the search of the "Audi A3" vehicle, 8 kg and 45 grams of cannabis were found hidden in the trunk, which were seized as material evidence along with the vehicle, while during the search of the apartment, an unlicensed shotgun was found and seized.
The procedural materials were passed on to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action.
