Artan Kaja, the 52-year-old Albanian found dead in a warehouse of the paper factory in Lucca was not the victim of an accident at work, but was executed by a firearm.
The news was announced by the Italian police, who added that they have detained a person suspected of this incident.
Kaja was the head of an outsourcing company and was found dead at the Smurfit Kappa paper mill in Lunata on Tuesday evening. Initially, the authorities hypothesized an accident or illness at work.
The victim was found with a head injury and doctors suspected that he had fallen from a height. But now the hypothesis appears that he may have been hit with a firearm, which has not yet been found.
The suspected author of the incident is another Albanian, who was questioned by the authorities, in the presence of the lawyer, but his testimony is contradictory. (A2 Televizion)
