During police searches of the homes of people with criminal records around the area where the murder of Lulzim Visha took place, A2 CNN learns that officers found a firearm with a silencer. Earlier, the police also found the suspected weapon of the crime inside the burned-out vehicle that is suspected to belong to the perpetrators of the murder of the 48-year-old.
48-year-old Lulzim Visha was found dead in Kamëz this morning inside his work car, while over 12 bullet casings were seized in the vehicle. Police suspect that he was killed with a silenced pistol, as according to the testimonies of residents in the area, no gunshots were heard, writes A2 CNN.
His body was discovered by a local resident on Friday morning. As usual, he had gone to work that morning and was shot dead by unidentified persons on Shën Stefani Street in Zall Mner. Lulzim Visha worked as a postman at a private post office.
Police were notified of the incident at around 7:40 a.m., when a resident of the area saw him dead in the vehicle. But the investigation team is not clear on the time of the crime, reports A2 CNN.
Police questioned residents of the area. They claimed they did not hear any shots or see any suspicious persons.
To solve the crime, agents have opened two investigation lines. The first has to do with enmity. Lulzim Visha's brother, Besnik Visha, killed Refik Domi at the Agricultural University on April 10, 1997. A crime for which he has served his sentence, reports A2 CNN.
As a second lead, the police are investigating a conflict that the two brothers have had in recent months with several other people in the Zall Mneri area.
The 48-year-old is suspected of being ambushed and then shot to death.
Immediately after the crime, the police suspect that the perpetrator fled in a black vehicle. A few hours after the murder, in Zall Herr, the police found a burned vehicle, which is suspected to have been used by the perpetrators.
The area where the incident occurred does not have security cameras, and in order to find evidence that could identify the perpetrator, officers conducted searches in several surrounding homes, mainly of people with criminal records. (A2 Televizion)
