Kastriot Cenko, the 39-year-old man who killed his wife in Greece, appeared before the court today to get acquainted with the measure of arrest.
In front of the black squads, he gave his version of the cruel murder of the 32-year-old woman, as well as the hiding of her body for days in the attic of their apartment, in Ampelokipi.
"I wish I could go back in time," he said as he pleaded guilty. Although the 39-year-old said that he was sorry for his action, he actually tried to blame the mother of his children, saying that she was cheating on him and that shortly before he killed her, Alba Cenko admitted in a conversation that she had an extramarital affair with his childhood friend.
According to Kastriot Cenko, the deceased wife also told him that their eldest child was not his.
"Around 01:30 I woke up and realized that my wife was not in bed. I looked for him and found him in the bathroom talking on a video call. I heard her say she was going to pick up our oldest son and leave, while on the other end of the phone I heard a male voice (which actually sounded like my childhood friend's voice) responding positively to her words. I asked him to come into the room to talk. She came and at first denied that she was talking on the phone (saying that she was watching a video), but then she admitted that she was talking to a man, specifically my childhood friend, and at the same time she told me that she was going to take her baby. big and would leave, since I had no money. She even called me "little man" and said that "I have been believing her lie all my life". Trying in vain to keep my cool, I asked her "why is she taking the older child with her since we have two children". Then she answered me with absolute coldness, looking me in the face that she is not my child", the 39-year-old confessed in the courtroom.
In the following, he continued to claim that he committed the crime under a charged emotional and nervous state.
"I was very upset when I heard that my beloved child was not mine, and without any control over my actions, I took a hammer from my bag of construction tools and went into the bedroom and hit him on the head. She fell on our bed and completely blinded by the intense emotions I was experiencing, I grabbed the cable of a charger that was next to me and tightened it around her neck. When I realized a few seconds later what had happened, I freaked out and tried to revive him twice. I pressed his chest and tried to get him to breathe. I was in a state of panic. I covered it and put it in the closet. The children were not awake and had not heard anything. In the morning they left for school, not surprised by their mother's absence as I always called them on the phone to confirm they were awake and going to school as I left early, around 6 to go to work", he revealed further.
The defendant, who went as far as to appease his children and Alba's relatives by pretending for about a week that it was her through the messages he sent them.
"I couldn't handle it, I didn't know what to do. I couldn't believe what had happened. My mind couldn't take it. But I wanted to tell the authorities because I couldn't take it anymore, so I called the police and I told him everything with complete honesty. Even the messages I sent to my son from his mother's cell phone had the sole purpose of calming my children down." (A2 Televizion)
