The capital's police have arrested a 74-year-old father who stabbed his son yesterday afternoon, who subsequently died in hospital. The incident took place in an apartment on Kodra e Priftit, on "Ilia Shyti" street, where citizen Hekuran Gjoni, about 74 years old, stabbed his son Asim Gjoni, 37 years old.
In his brief testimony to the investigative group, Hekuran Gjoni claimed that he had frequent conflicts with his son, who, according to him, cursed and bullied him. The 74-year-old further stated that he did not want to kill his son, but the situation got out of control.
The victim and the perpetrator are suspected of being intoxicated, as police continue their investigations.
