After SPAK, the city's Prosecutor's Office has also arrived at the doors of the Elbasan incinerator, reports A2 CNN.
The latter has registered a criminal proceeding on charges of destruction of property by fire, air pollution and abuse of office.
These charges relate to the July 2023 incident, when a large-scale fire engulfed the waste stockpile near this incinerator. For these charges, executives of the company that manages the incinerator are under investigation and verification.
