Five days after the dismissal of Abigeila Voshtina from the post of General Director of the National Theater of Opera, Ballet and Popular Ensemble, composer Aulon Naçi has been appointed the new director of TKOB. After the incident, Voshtina also made public the new name of the head of TKOB in a post on Facebook.
"Theatre is an engine that does not stop and I am grateful for the journey I had until today in this position. Each task is a temporary mission. Art, passion and profession are eternal. I wish you success Mr. Aulon Naçi in the direction of this elite cultural institution, such as TKOBAP. My journey will continue with new projects and without a doubt we will see each other again because Art never dies", writes Voshtina.
Voshtina was appointed to this position in 2022, after a competition that was deemed successful at the time, and it was said that she would remain in office for a period of 4 years.
