Prime Minister Rama inspects the works at the National Gallery of Arts. Officially recognized by this government as the Museum of Fine Arts, it is expected to be ready for the public within this year.

When it closed in 2021, it was said that in almost three years the building known as the National Gallery of Arts, but on paper already the Museum of Fine Arts, would be ready, writes A2 CNN.

The works should have been completed by 2024, but following Prime Minister Rama's visit to the construction site of the Museum of Fine Arts, the next promise extends the deadline until October 2025.

Despite this, Prime Minister Rama, during this weekend's inspection, indicated that he would be happy if the works were completed in the spring of 2026.

Minister Gonxha reported that so far 784 restorations of works have been carried out and that in parallel, work is being done with the entire inventory so that everything is ready.

Regarding the advisory group, Deputy Minister Lira Pipa indicated that the French will be on our side again. Lira Pipa said that the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the National Gallery of Arts spaces would cost 1 billion and 365 million lekë, but it is not known whether the costs will be calculated again in the same way as the deadlines.
