Belind Këlliçi has reported what he calls an electoral crime at the Petro Nini Luarasi high school in the capital. In a statement to the media, Democrat Këlliçi accused Socialist Erion Braçe of running away from his electoral office, whom Braçe claims he does not know. He called on the police to reveal the names of these people.
"What happened is unprecedented, the state police patrol did not come because the situation was turning into a physical confrontation. I asked for an on-site inspection of the crime scene to see if there were any illegal items; money, lists, computers and phones. I asked to see the scene itself, but what happened is unprecedented. We go inside, I show the police the video of people running away, a director of the national innovation center, I don't know who it was, and some other young people, with bags on their arms and hoods, ran away. I tell them who the person in question is. Braçe tells him this is my work office and says he doesn't know my work members. When the police ask him who these are, he says he doesn't know them, let Belindi and the State Police find them. If there was no electoral crime, why did people run away? The DP has had several electoral offices and logos removed because we were 100 meters away from the polling centers and According to the electoral code, there cannot be an office of a political force, as the crow flies, it is 30 meters away. Not only is there an electoral office here, but there is no Erion Braçe logo. We are dealing with an undeclared office, illegal activities, misuse of public administration. Këlliçi demands that this case be solved and not passed over in silence, while warning of filing a complaint with the police station and the prosecutor's office. He says that this situation is similar to the paving of Xhon Belushi Street in 2023.
"Why does Braçe say I don't know these individuals? I know those who came here with me by name and I know them by heart. If that individual has his own electoral office, he should declare who they are, what they were doing, what were the maps on the wall and the laptops, and why they ran away. We came here and established a criminal offense. I call on the State Police not to let this case that we have caught red-handed pass in silence, to catch those individuals and question them. I will go myself to file a criminal report at Police Station 2 and the Tirana Prosecutor's Office.
